Mishawaka - Pearl Faye Quigley, 77, of Greenmount Court, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 10:09 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Quigley was born Sept. 26, 1927, in McAllister, Okla., to the late Bridge and Elizabeth (Shelton) Lewis, and had lived in the South Bend-Mishawaka area most of her life.
On Oct. 10, 1948, in South Bend, as Pearl F. Lewis, she married Alfred E. Quigley, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Judy (Robert) Gruener of Mishawaka; two grandsons, Troy Gruener of Bloomington, Ind., and Robert "Rob" Gruener Jr. of New Buffalo, Mich.; three sisters, Bertha Shula of Indianapolis, Ind., Ruth (Floyd) Hetfield of Plymouth, Ind., and Mildred (Delbert) Frick of South Bend; and one brother, Zearl "Zeke" (Maxine) Lewis of South Bend. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Kurzhal and Betty Town; and by two brothers, Kenneth and Lucien Lewis. All through her years of both health and illness, she remained a devoted wife and mother to Al and Judy and a wonderful, doting grandma to her grandsons, Troy and Rob.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 24, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, with Rev. John Railton of Timberland Bible Church officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, in the funeral home.
