Samuel A. Quick, aged, 86, of rural route No. 5, Bailey road, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of serveral months. His wife, Mrs. Mary Jacobs Quick, died last Christmas day. He was born in St. Joseph County, Dec. 17, 1860, and spent his entire life in the county. Surviving are 12  children, Mrs. Ora Barber, Mrs. John Kuespert, Mrs. Steve Flowers, Mrs. Thomas Gore, Mrs Charles Plummer, Mrs. John Ley and Mrs. Clayton Hale, all of South Bend, Mrs. John Grall, Mrs. Ralph Dubbs, and Samuel Quick Jr. all of Mishawaka, and M.H. Quick, Bourbon, Ind. 37 granchildren; 33 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-granchild. Friends may call the Hollis Funeral Home until funeral services there at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Rev John Shridan, C.S.C., assistance pastor, of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, will officiate. Burual will be in City Cemetery.
