SOUTH BEND - Stella M. Pyclik, 87, passed away on Tuesday,
December 30, 2009, in Memorial Hospital. Stella was born on
September 30, 1922, in South Bend to the late Fred and Hattie
(Trudzinski) Polonka Sr. She was preceded in death by her
brother, Fred Polonka; and by her two sisters, Bernice Smudzinski
and Anna Lewandowski; and by her son, Rudolph Pyclik Jr. On June
15, 1940, she married Rudolph Pyclik, he survives along with her
sister, Irene Szynski of South Bend; her brother, John (Mary Ann)
Polonka; sister-in-law, Rosemary Polonka; and by several nieces
and nephews. She was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic
Church. She enjoyed cooking and loved to take care of her
husband. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, January
3, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where
a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010, in St.
Adalbert Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made
to St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 2505 W. Grace St., South Bend,
IN 46619 or to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111
Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637. For those who are unable to
attend the funeral mass, condolences for the family may be made
