July 23, 1913 – September 20, 2003

Edna R. Putz, 90, of South Bend IN, passed away at 5:55am Saturday, September 20, 2003, in Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Putz was born on July 23, 1913, in South Bend IN.  She retired from the City of South Bend, where she was employed in the Clerk’s Office.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Putz; her daughter, Maryrose Putz; and by her sister, Dorothy Maternowski.  Survivors include her son, Thomas (Sylvia) Putz of South Bend IN; her four grandchildren, Timothy Putz of Fort Riley KS, Tammy Hock of Wesley Chapel FL, Melissa (Andy) Foster or Ormond Beach FL and Sandra Smith of Kissimmee FL; her two great grandchildren, Hugh and Tina Hock of Wesley Chapel FL; and her two sisters, Therese (Ed) Nowicki of South Bend IN, and Marge (Richard) Ludwick of Niles MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Monday, September 22, 2003, in Holy Cross Church.  Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call form 9 until 10:30am Monday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive.  Mrs. Putz was a member of Holy Cross Parish.  The family would like to extend a “special thanks” to Heidi Clark, Joan Arrowsmith and Marcella Hendricks.
