SOUTH BEND – Leo S. Przestwor, 76, of Meade Street, died at 5:59pm Sunday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after an illness.  Mrs. Przestwor retired from Allied Products Corp. and was a former employee of the Studebaker Corp.

He was born March 31, 1918, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.  His first wife, Sophie Piechorowski, died in 1960.  On May 5, 1962, in South Bend, he married Hildegarde Smogor.  She survives with two sisters, Carrie Palka and Joan Przestwor, both of South Bend.  He was a member of St. Joseph Young Men’s Society.

Services will be at 10am Thursday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 6pm Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 4pm, and an hour before services Thursday in the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
