August 28, 1916 – January 15, 2005

Bert J. Przestwor, 88, of South Bend, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2005, in Countryside Place, Mishawaka.

He was born on August 28, 1916, in South Bend, to the late Stanley H. and Hedwige (Michalski) Przestwor.  On August 31, 1946, Bert married the former Cecelia H. Gruber.  Cecelia preceded him in death on November 2, 1983.  Also preceding him in death were his sister, Martha Crane, and a brother, Stanley Przestwor.

Bert was a veteran and had served his country proudly in the US Army from 1941-1945.

Bert is survived by his daughter, Linda I. (George) Wood of Peoria AZ; a son, Michael B. (Barbara) Przestwor of Mishawaka; and by a grandson, Wayne Harman.

Funeral services will be today, January 19, 2005, at 11am in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend, with Rev. John Railton officiating.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.  Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
