NORTH LIBERTY - Cecil C. Pryke, 87, of North Liberty passed away
at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, in his residence after an
apparent heart attack. He was born on May 11, 1923 in Bury St.
Edmunds, England, before moving to North Liberty, IN, in 1949. He
was preceded in death by his loving wife, Winifred (Molloy)
Pryke, on June 19, 1991. Mr. Pryke is survived by a daughter,
Georgette Shindledecker of South Bend, IN; and a son, John Pryke
of North Liberty, IN. Also surviving is his sister, Vera Johnston
of Bury St. Edmunds, England. Cecil was a loving grandfather to
10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded
in death by a son, Thomas Pryke on May 5, 2010. Also two sisters,
Violet Taylor and Phyllis Potter and three brothers, Frank,
George and Fred Pryke. Cecil worked for Reese Manufacturing
Company in Elkhart, IN, before retiring in 1988. He was a soldier
in the English Army and participated in D-Day. He was in the Army
Air Borne while serving during WWII. He was a member of the
Crumstown Conservation Club and St. Patrick's Catholic Church,
Walkerton, IN. Memorial contributions may be made in the form of
masses for Cecil C. Pryke. You may also mail prayers to 29590

from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 28 in Hanley & Sons
"Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home located at West
Ireland Road/S.R. #23, South Bend, IN. Services will be held
at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 29 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman
Catholic Church, located at 458 W. Walnut St., Nappanee, IN. Fr.
Frank Riccomini will be officiating. Burial to follow at
Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. The HANLEY & SONS
"Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements
and extend its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the
Pryke family.
