SOUTH BEND - Penny Ann (Shaffer) Prusinski, 42, of Kern Road, died Wednesday afternoon in her home. The death is being investigated by Charles Hurley, deputy coroner. Mrs. Prusinski was born April 23, 1953, in Inwood, and was a lifelong resident of this area.

Surviving are a son, Jeff of South Bend; her mother and stepfather, Virginia and Duane Zeiger of South Bend; her father, Edwin C. Shaffer of Fort Wayne; a sister, Linda Bacon of South Bend; and a brother, Dan Zeiger of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
