David C. Preger

October 24, 1911 – November 9, 1982

David Cornelius Preger, 71, of 60030 S Main St., died at 12:10am Tuesday in Syracuse NY, after being ill about 18 months.  He died while visiting his family after returning from a trip to Greece.  He was retired from the Indiana State Highway Department. 

A lifelong South Bend resident, he was born on October 24, 1911.  On September 25, 1937, in South Bend, he married Nadine Priebe, who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Davine E. Arndt of Syracuse; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Axnix of Florida; and a brother, Daniel A. of Tucson AZ.  He was a Centre Twp. Precinct committeeman.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home.

FUNERAL NOTES

Services for David Cornelius Preger, 71, of 60030 S. Main St., who died Tuesday in Syracuse NY, will be at 10am Friday in St Stephen’s Catholic Church.  Rev. Thomas Nemeth, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today in the Zahoran Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7:15pm.
