William Neal Poynter

William Neal Poynter, 69, formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, in Irving, Texas. He was born on March 17, 1932, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Irving. Mr. Poynter retired from the Associates in 1995 as a senior accountant.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, and son, Gary. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Wendy Poynter of Highland Village, Texas; and by grandchildren, Brian, Todd, Gary, Ryan and Leslie Poynter.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 30, in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 South Michigan Street. Funeral services for Mr. Poynter will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Southlawn Cemetery. Memorials in Mr. Poynter's name may be directed to the Scottish Rite Hospital.
