SOUTH BEND - Hilda Pearl Powers, 94, formerly of Rue Flambeau, died at 11:58 p.m. Friday in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, after an illness. Mrs. Powers was born Sept. 23, 1901, in Wyatt and was a lifetime area resident.

On Aug. 20, 1920, in South Bend, as Hilda P. Miller, she married Edgar C. Powers Sr. He died July 27, 1962. Surviving are two sons, Edgar C. Jr. of South Bend and James L. of Elkhart; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Orlu Clemans of Downey, Calif.; and two brothers, Marvin Miller of Rolling Prairie and Forrest Miller of South Bend.

There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
