Clarence N. Powell

January 26, 1887 – December 20, 1978

Clarence N. Powell, 91, a former resident of Mishawaka, died at 4:10am today in the Broward General Medical Center, Fort Lauderdale FL.  He moved to Florida 20 years ago.

Powell was born on January 26, 1887, in Mishawaka.  He was the merchandise manager for the former Ball Band Co, Mishawaka. Surviving are his widow, Mabel; two daughters, Mrs. Roberta Maury of Coral Springs FL and Mrs. Shirley M. Weishaar of Bellevue WA; a son, R. Gordon of Houston TX; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Wells of South Bend and Mrs. Avonel Lung of Mishawaka.

Powell was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, No 130 F & AM and Chapter No 83, R.A.M., both of Mishawaka, and the A.A.S.R. Consistory Valley of South Bend.  He was an Army veteran of WW I.

Services will be at 2:30pm Friday at the Fairchild North Federal Chapel, Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Entombment will be in the Lauderdale Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  Memorial donations may be made to the First Untied Methodist Church, 100 S.E. 2^nd, Fort Lauderdale.
