SOUTH BEND - Raymond L. ''Animal'' Potter,
38, of Palm Bay, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died after a
two-car accident about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in Palm Bay, according to
Palm Bay City police.
Mr. Potter was the passenger in the car
driven by Thomas E. O'Dor, 32, of Palm Bay. Police said O'Dor's
car was turning left into a parking lot when the car was struck
broadside by another car. Police said Mr. Potter died during
surgery at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Fla.
Mr. Potter was a roofer/sheet metal
mechanic.
He was born June 10, 1955, in South Bend,
and lived in South Bend until 1979. He is survived by his wife,
Doris Potter of Palm Bay; two daughters, Crystal T. Potter and
Raelyn Potter, both of Palm Bay; two sons, Raymond Jr. of South
Bend and Raymond III of Palm Bay; his mother, Donabel Sardi
of South Bend; and four brothers, Ricky Potter of Las Vegas,
Nev., David Potter and Thomas Potter, both of Mishawaka, and
James Sardi of South Bend. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in
Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home, Melbourne.
