Mike Portolese

1863 – November 24, 1928

Mike Portolese, age 65, of 904 North Division Street, died in his home at 6:05 o’clock this morning, after an illness of three months with complications. 

He was born in Italy, and had lived in Mishawaka for 14 years, coming here from New York.  His marriage to Mary Tripepi, who survives, took place 35 years ago in Italy.  Besides his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Concettino Consenco, Mrs. Janey Kimbol, and Miss Vettino Portolese.  The remains may be viewed at the residence this evening and until the hour of the funeral, which will be held from St Monica’s Church Monday morning at 9 o’clock, the Rev. John Kohl officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph’s cemetery.
