SOUTH BEND--Alphons N. Poppe, 88, of Sebring, Fla., formerly of South Bend and Granger, died Jan. 2 in Sebring. Survivors include his wife, Ellen M.; and a son, Clyde of Fort Wayne. Memorial services were Jan. 6 in St. John Methodist Church, Sebring. Fountain-Chandler Funeral Home, Lake Placid, Fla., handled arrangements.
