MISHAWAKA - Richard F. Polley, 91, entered into rest on May 13,
2010, in Custer, Washington, surrounded by his family. Richard
was born on May 31, 1918, in Rochester, Indiana, to Louis and
Ester (Rhinesmith) Polley. He attended and graduated from
Rochester High School in 1937. After graduation, Richard married
his wife, Betty (Perry) on February 14, 1942, in Mishawaka,
Indiana. Richard entered the Army during WW II and proudly served
our country from 1943 until 1945. Following the war, Richard
worked as a fireman for 38 years in Mishawaka, Indiana, and
retired in 1980. He was a member of VFW #360, Rotary, Indiana
Firemans Association and the Moose Lodge in Mishawaka, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Bellingham, WA; sons, Randy
Polley of Custer, WA, and John Polley of Winchester, VA; four
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by this
two brothers, Edward and Norman Polley. At this time, memorial
