Norma Dean Pollard

GRANGER - Norma Dean Pollard, 69, of Granger, IN passed
away Wednesday morning July 16, 2008, in Memorial Hospital
following an Illness. Born July 11, 1939, in St. Louis, MO. to
the late Norman D. and Marjorie (Windstead) Sealand.
Also preceding her was a sister Sandy Hardy. On May 23,
1965 she married Donald C. Pollard and they shared 43 years
together. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughters
Billie Jean Jacobs of Rockville, IN., Debbie Steinmet
of Park Hills, MO., Pat Carroll of Hillsboro, MO., and
Terri Oliver of Cassopolis, MI. 14 grandchildren, Lange,
Lisa, and Adam Jacobs, Shannon and David Pratt, Josh,
Mellisia and Adam Carroll, Kristina and Michael Pollard,
Trisha Warner, Corey Kosloski, Cassie and Marah
Oliver; three great-grandchildren, Grace and Camuron Warner and
Constance Kosloski; two sisters, Brenda Cooper of
Lafayette, IN and Wanda Jones of St. Louis, MO; and a
brother, Duane Post of California. Norma "The Coffee
Lady" worked for the 7-11 for over ten years. She had
previously worked at Long John Silvers as manager on Hickory Rd.,
the Old Mayfair Restaurant in the 70's and the Lincoln Highway
Inn, The Ready Mart and Country Market. Norma was an active
member of the Clay Democratic Club and was very interested in
politics. Norma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She
was an avid garage sale person, which she enjoyed so much.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon
Saturday July 19 in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North,
17033 Cleveland Rd., Pastor Edgar D. Erskin officiating. Burial
will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call
two hours prior to services. Memorial contributions in Norma's
memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
