MISHAWAKA - Clement C. Poelvorde, 70, of Seventh Street, died at 11:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital. Mr. Poelvorde was a Bendix employee for 32 years and co-owner of K & P Products. He was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident.
On April 19, 1947, in Mishawaka, he married Jeannette E. Bracke. She survives with two daughters, Suzanne Schlemmer and Beth Ann Wojciechowski, both of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; and a sister, Gabriel M. Poelvorde of Mishawaka. He was a member of the BK Club, Elks Lodge 236 of South Bend, St. Bavo's Catholic Church and Mishawaka Fraternal Order of Police, and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church. Entombment will be in Fairview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Hahn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to any charity.
