James Lee Plummer, 69, of Lake Trail,
Lakeville, Ind., died at 4:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, in the Life
Care Center, Rochester, Ind. He was born on May 20, 1932, in
Lakeville, to Joseph Otto and Pearl (Laughman) Plummer. He was
preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and John
Plummer; and by a half sister, Helen Knepp.
James is survived by two daughters and their
husbands, Pamela and David Wiegand of Lakeville, and Peggy
and Frank Wiegand of Grayslake, Ill.; six sisters, Martha Stanage
of Lakeville, Donna (Dwight) Nolen of Plymouth, Ind.,
Lelia (Fred) Masten of Rochester, Evelyn (Richard) Rice
of Decatur, Mich., Iris (Louie) Tortorelli of Kalamazoo,
Mich, and Jean Ann (Dean) Rice of Mishawaka, Ind.; six brothers,
Glen (Mary) Plummer of Rochester, Joe (Annette) Plummer of
Houston, Texas, Richard (Maryann) Plummer of Rochester, Lynn
(Berneda) Plummer of Rochester, Jake (Gail) Plummer of Lakeville
and Dan (Sandie) Plummer of Osceola, Ind. James was a carpenter
in Bremen, Ind., before his retirement.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday,
Oct. 29, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 South Michigan Street,
Lakeville, with Pastor Philip M. Jerome of Gospel Center Church
officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Friends
may call from noon until 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
