Sister Placida, CSC, died this morning at St. Mary’s Convent after two days illness with pneumonia. She was 78 years old and came to this country from Ireland. She has been at St. Mary’s since 1874.

Funeral services will be held at 8 o’clock Friday morning. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
