SOUTH BEND - Walter G. "Wally" Pinkowski, 36, of
South Bend, passed away suddenly in Memorial Hospital after
suffering an apparent heart attack. Wally was born on October 7,
1971, in South Bend, and had resided in the Michiana area his
lifetime. He is survived by his parents, Walter L. and Darlene K.
(Lambert) Pinkowski of South Bend; his maternal
grandmother, Bonnie L. Brown of South Bend; two sisters,
Bonnie K. (Shawn) Mossell and Amanda J. (Tracey) Brittain,
both of South Bend; and a brother, Paul H. Pinkowski of South
Bend. Also surviving are four nieces, Kalen Peacock, Katie
Peacock, Christina Brittain and Lanie Brittain; three nephews,
Tracy Peacock, Joshua Brittain and Timothy Brittain. Wally will
be sadly missed by his loving family and numerous friends he made
during his life journey.
He was an avid Notre Dame fan. He loved
fishing, camping and all college and pro sports. Wally thought
the world of his nieces and nephews. He was a very caring young
man and always tried to be loving and caring to his family. The
family requests that all memorials be made to the family to help
with medical bills.
Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
today, Jan. 29, in Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel"
Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23,
South Bend. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at
11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, with Lawrence Simon officiating.
Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. The HANLEY
& Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled
arrangements and services and extends its deepest sympathy and
heartfelt prayers to the Pinkowski family.
