April 19, 1924 -- July 2, 2005

Stella C. Pilarski, 81, of Mitchell's Country Care, formerly of Brick Road, passed away at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005.

Stella was born on April 19, 1924, in South Bend, IN, to Jacob and Mary (Gura) Krol, and was a lifelong resident. She had previously been employed with Ball Band Credit Union. Her husband, Donald M. Pilarski, preceded her in death on March 1, 1985. Also preceding her in death were five sisters, Rose Rajski, Antoinette Winkel, Anna Marie Krol, Mary Krol and Agnes Klipich; and by a brother, John Krol.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Stella was a fantastic gardener. She had a lovely home on two acres and it was her pride and joy. She always encouraged her family to come over to enjoy her swimming pool.
