Clara Pighi

Mishawaka – Clara Pighi, 79, of Countryside Place, formerly of East Ninth Street, died at 1:20 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital.

Mrs Pighi was born Aug. 7, 1911 in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 14, 1934, in Mishawaka, as Clara Raugh, she married Albert J. Pighi. He died Feb. 23, 1985. She is survived by a sister, Virginia Robertson of St. Petersburg, Fla.

She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Columbian-Ladies of Knights of Columbus Council 1878.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Homes, where a rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
