Piechowiak, Jr. July 12, 1942 - Feb. 23, 1999 Frank A. Piechowiak, Jr., 56, of East LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, Ind., formerly of Kerlin Drive, Granger, Ind., died on Tuesday, Feb. 23, in Cardinal Nursing Home. Frank was self-employed in the manufactured housing industry for many years. He was born on July 12, 1942 in South Bend, and had been a lifetime area resident. On Aug. 20, 1966, in South Bend, he married Cheryl L. Gilroy, who died on May 28, 1994. He is survived by his father, Frank A. Piechowiak, Sr., of South Bend; a son, Mark A. of Mishawaka, Ind.; a sister, Joan A. Evans of South Bend; and by a brother, James T. Piechowiak of Elkhart, Ind. Frank was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church; a graduate of John Adams High School, Class of 1960; a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Business Administration; and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4263, Granger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 201 S.
