Eugene J. Pianstki, 54, of Vernon Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 9:34 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 30, 1946, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Pianstki was employed as a purchasing agent by Hubble Raco since 1964. He was a Vietnam veteran and a member of American Legion Bendix Post #284.

On Oct. 5, 1968, in South Bend, he married Linda Wasikowski, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Beth Pianstki, and a son, Brand Pianstki, both of South Bend; his father, Joseph Pianstki of South Bend; and two sisters, Charlotte (Arthur) Tafelski and Joyce (Charles) Bartley, both of South Bend. Mr. Pianstki was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn (Odynski) Pianstki.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Adalbert Catholic Church where he was a member. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
