THREE RIVERS Clarence Ignatius
Pianowski, 81, who was born February
1, 1923, in Mishawaka, died on October 5 in Villages Regional Medical
Center in Lady Lake FL.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Jane)
Pianowski who resides in Florida;
his son, Stephen Michael Pianowski of Three Rivers MI;
stepchildren, Debra and Kim Michael Sutherland; grandchildren,
Shannon Michelle Piper and Adam Michael Pianowski both of Three Rivers,
and Heather Michelle Pianowski of Portage; three great
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His mother, Blanch (Poliaga) Pianowski,
and father, Francisco, and his sister, Hattie Makowski, and
grandson, Aaron Michael Pianowski preceded him in death.
Clarence graduated from Mishawaka High School, Mishawaka, and attended Michigan
State University majoring in Agriculture. He served his
country in World War II in the United States Army where he
reached the rank of sergeant. He married his former wife,
Mrs. Joseph (Marie) Zinsmaster, Centreville IN, in 1948, and they
moved to Three Rivers in 1955 with their son, Stephen, where they
owned and operated a dairy farm. They were divorced in
1973.
In 1975, he married Helen Maxwell in Three
Rivers. They were divorced in 1992.
Since 1994, Clarence was happily married
to Jane and he enjoyed golfing, traveling, bocchi ball, and
horseshoes, and, of course, traveling the country. He also
found time to entertain friends and family and travel back to Michigan to visit family and friends. He so
loved agriculture and was a very hard worker, and had many
friends and acquaintances in the Three Rivers area.
Clarence was a member of the Michigan Farm
Bureau and the American Legion. He attended Immaculate
Conception Church and the St Clare Church.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation
has taken place and his ashes were buried in the Veterans
Memorial in Florida. Religious
services are scheduled for Monday, October 25, in the Immaculate Conception
Church, Douglass Street, Three Rivers, at 11am. Father
Matthew will say the Mass. Family and friends are invited
to attend. There will be a luncheon following the services,
sponsored by the Daughters of Mary.
Memorial donations may be forwarded to the
Centreville Chapter of the Future Farmers of America in
Centreville MI, or to the Michigan State
University 4-H Youth programs, Centreville.
