Mrs. Blanche A. Philion
Mrs. Blanche A. Philion, 78,
formerly of 2510 Woodmont Dr., South Bend, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday in the
Little Company of Mary Health Facility, San Pierre, Ind., where she had been a
patient for four years. She was born in Mishawaka on Aug. 13, 1894, and
had lived all her life in Mishawaka and South Bend. As Blanche A. Ort she
married Julius J. Philion in Mishawaka on Nov. 15, 1915. He died in 1958.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs.
Aldona Borden of Mishawaka, and two granddaughters, Mrs. Michael Bojarski and
Mrs. Thomas Sanders, both of Boulder, Colo. Friends may call from 5 to 9
p.m. Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, where final arrangements are being
made. Mrs. Philion was a member of St. Matthew's Cathedral Parish, South
Bend, and she and her late husband were also members of St. Monica's Church for
a number of years.

PHILION - Funeral services for
Mrs. Blanche A. Philion, 78, formerly of 2510 Woodmont Dr., South Bend, who
died Monday evening in the Little Company of Mary Health facility, San Pierre,
Ind., will be held at noon Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Rt. Rev.
Msgr. Stanley L. Manoski, pastor of St. Matthew Cathedral, South Bend, will
officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Memorial Park. Friends may call
in the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
