MISHAWAKA - Mary Jane Pfaller, 83, of South Shore Drive,
Mishawaka, passed away at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, March 9th, following
an illness. She was born June 5th, 1924, in Mishawaka, to Homer
and Bertha (Arms) Hall, who both preceded her in
death along with a brother, Douglas Hall.
On September 18th, 1943, she married Richard
Pfaller in Mishawaka. He survives with two children, Brenda
(Robert) Dhaeze of South Bend and Bradley R. Pfaller of
Bronx, New York. Also surviving are two grandchildren, David Marisin
and Julie (Jeffrey) Thompson; along with several
great-grandchildren; and a niece, Martha Kay Hetz of
Kansas. Mrs. Pfaller was employed by the First United Methodist
Church, Mishawaka, as a secretary for 20 years, retiring in 1986.
Mrs. Pfaller was a very active member of the First United
Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Friday in First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka. Entombment
will follow the services on Friday at St. Joseph Valley Memorial
Park, Granger. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday
in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, and for one hour
prior to the services on Friday in the church. The family has
requested that memorial contributions be made, in lieu of
flowers, to the church.
