SOUTH BEND - Lillian C. Petrie, 90, of 2821 Apple Tree Lane, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday in Healthwin Hospital and Nursing Home. Mrs. Petrie retired from the Internal Revenue Service as a secretary. She was born Feb. 9, 1904, in Covington, Ky., and lived in South Bend since 1950, coming from Chicago.

On July 18, 1942, in Chicago, as Lillian Copfer, she married John J. Petrie. He died Feb. 9, 1970. She is survived by a son, Philip M. of South Bend; and two grandchildren. She was a member of Christian Science Church, Mishawaka.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the church of any charity.
