SOUTH BEND - Steven Michael Peters, 40, of Chipstead Drive, South Bend, Ind., died on Thursday, Aug. 13, of an apparent drowning while boating on Lake Michigan. Mr. Peters was the owner of Captured Image, Inc. Steven was born on Oct. 7, 1957, in South Bend.

On July 11, 1981, he married Tammy Rae Gill, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Julianne Renee Peters at home; a son, Daniel Raymond Peters at home; his parents, Richard and Sandra (Krillenburger) Peters of South Bend; a sister, Michelle (David) Hamill of Detroit, Mich.; and by a brother, Jeff (Jan) Peters of Mishawaka, Ind. Steven was active in the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, with Rev. Rick Yohn officiating. Cremation will take place.
