Norma Kathryn Heston Peterson

SOUTH BEND – Mrs. Norma Heston Peterson, 70, 215 S. Notre Dame Avenue, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was a registered nurse at the University of Notre Dame infirmary for many years. Born Sept. 2, 1911 in South Bend, she had lived here all her life.

Her husband John W. Peterson died in 1953. In 1955 she married Ralph T. Peterson. He died Nov. 27, 1979. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Susan A. Marsh of South Bend; two sons, Robert W. of Bremen and John J. of South Bend; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Robert J. Heston of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a lifetime member. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friend may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Hickey Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today. She was a graduate of the former Holy Cross School of Nursing at St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend.
