BLANCHE E. (SUMPTION) PETERSON
Mrs. Blanche E.
Peterson, 91 formerly of the Karl King Tower, 515 E. Monroe, died
at 6:45 a.m. today at the Melrose Manor Nursing Home, Mishawaka,
after a lengthy illness. She was employed at the former
Greenblatts Fur Shop in South Bend. Born on December 28, 1889 in
South Bend she lived in this area all her life. On April 15, 1907
in South Bend, she married Elmer G. Peterson, who died in 1934.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ethel M Wilson of South
Bend and Mrs. Genevieve Donat of Bend, Oregon; two sons George E.
of Spring Hill, Fla. and Harold (Jack) of Deltona, Fla.; nine
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and four
great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the
Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson. She was a member of
Calvary Baptist Church, to which memorial contributions may be
made. She was a past president of the Woodmen of the World.

Services for Mrs. Blanche E. Peterson, 91 formerly of the Karl
King Tower, 515 E. Monroe, who died Tuesday at the Melrose Manor
Nursing Home, Mishawaka, after a lengthy illness, will be at 1:30
p.m. Thursday at the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson. Rev.
Charles Reed, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, will
officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call
from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. She was a member of
Calvary Baptist Church to which memorial contributions may be
made. She was a past president of the Woodman of the World. Her
survivors include a son Howard of Deltona, Fla.
