MRS PETERSON DIES AT AGE 71

Resident of City Since Childhood Succumbs to Illness

Mrs. Nelson P Peterson, aged 71, active member of St. Peter's German Lutheran Church and a resident of Mishawaka since early childhood, died at 4:20 o'clock this morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Wallick, 619 East Battell Street. She had been ill for two weeks.

Born in Aldendburg, Germany, Aug. 20, 1862, she was brought to Mishawaka by her parents at the age of four years. As Miss Anna Rose Krutz, she was married to Mr. Peterson here Jan 7, 1880. He died nine years ago. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Wallick, in whose home she died, Mrs. Winnie Kraus, Augusta Caskey, and Mrs. Mary kerns, all of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Frieda Dodey, of rural route No. 2, Mishawaka. Twenty-three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. also survive.

The body may be viewed in the Wallick residence from Friday noon until 11 o'clock Saturday morning, when it will be taken to the church, where it will lie until the hour of funeral services at 2:30 o'clock. Rev A A Fenner will officiate and burial will be in the city cemetery, six of her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Peterson also was a member of the Ladies aid Society of St. Peters's church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nelson P Peterson, widely-known Mishawaka woman who died Thursday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Wallick, 619 East Battel, will be held from St. Peter's Evangelical church at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon Rev A A Fenner will officiate and burial will be in the city cemetery
