Joseph S. Peters (April 13, 1915-Nov. 20, 1994)

SOUTH BEND - Services for Joseph Stephen Peters, 79, of Fairview Avenue, who died at 10:40 p.m. Sunday in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, were to be this morning in St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial was to be in Highland Cemetery. Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home made arrangements.

Mr. Peters was employed by South Bend Lathe Works and by the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk for 35 years. He was born April 13, 1915, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Oct. 13, 1945, in South Bend, he married Hartulana Vuckis. She survives with a daughter, Dawn Lukas of Bloomington, Ind.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy DiGann of Mishawaka. He was a member of the church.
