SOUTH BEND - Ineta E. Peters, 92, of South Bend, IN,
passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, in Hospice House, South Bend.
She was born May 17, 1916, in Wolf, MT, to the late Charles E.
and Eleanore (Kluth) Blanch. On June 28, 1933, in
Blue Island, IL, she married James Peters, who preceded her in
death on June 2, 1971. Mrs. Peters is survived by three sons,
James (Marguerite) Peters of South Bend, IN, Jon (Tranace) Peters
of Lakeville, IN, and Lance (Patricia) Peters of South Bend, IN;
10 grandchildren, Aaron Peters, Jason Peters, Tracy Peters,
Jonathon Peters, Sean Peters, Catherine Peters, Ed Peters,
Crystle Spurgeon, William Snider and Jason Snider;
five great-grandchildren, Michael Peters, Morgan Peters, Amy Faulkner,
Joseph Peters and Lauren Baca. Three brothers, Lee Wallace
Blanch, Clifford Blanch and Eugene Blanch, all preceded her in
death. Mrs. Peters retired in 1991 after 10 years of service for
Sears. She was a member of Lakeville United Methodist Church, the
American Legion in Lakeville and the Order of Eastern Star in
Lakeville. She enjoyed making pottery and was a talented
musician, volunteering to entertain at nursing homes by playing
music.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008, in the Lakeville United Methodist Church, 610 N. Michigan St., Lakeville. Rev. Larry Dimick will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, and one hour prior to the services in church on Saturday. Contributions may be made to the Lakeville United Methodist Church, 610 N. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN 46536.
