OSCEOLA - Richard Allen Personette, 66, passed away at 6:00 p.m.
on Saturday, May 8, in his residence Richard was born on January
13, 1944, in Mishawaka, as the son of the late Carl and Cora
(Chapman) Personette. On May 23, 1964, in South Bend, Richard
married the former Sandra Sue Smith, who preceded him in death on
September 18, 2007. He was also preceded in death by two
brothers, Robert and James. He is survived by his sons, Michael
(Michele) Personette of Mishawaka, IN, and Daniel (Carey)
Personette of Deerfield, IL; five grandchildren, Kyle, Kristin,
Kandyss, Karri and Kelsie Personette; one great-grandchild, Jayce
Peronsette-Waudby; and two sisters, Sharon Owens of Mishawaka and
Alice Phillips of Georgia. Richard was employed by Dodge,
Workinger, and Scanlon for most of his career. He was an
electrician and a member of Michiana Electrical Brotherhood for
35 years. Richard coached Osceola Little League for several
years. He also worked on many projects as a foreman at hospitals
and schools. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. on Thursday, May 13, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th
Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in
the funeral home, with Pastor Rick Callahan of River Valley
Community Church officiating. Entombment will take place at
