Mishawaka - Margaret "Mickie" D. (Portolese) Perkins, 81, of Remington Ct. S. Dr., Mishawaka passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13 in her home.

Mickie was born on June 2, 1924 in Mishawaka to Michael and Angela (Mittiga) Portolese. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Joseph and Ross Portolese, a sister-in-law, Mary Rose Portolese, one great niece and two great nephews.

Surviving Mickie are her sister, Mary Portolese of Mishawaka; two brothers, Frank (Cathy) Portolese of Mt. Plymouth, FL and Dominic "Don" (Shirley) Portolese of Mishawaka; a sister-in-law Liz Portolese of Mishawaka; several nieces and nephews, Ron (Marilyn) Portolese, Terri Hartman, Michael (Cindy) Portolese, Deb (Dave) Singleton, Cindi (Pat) Nash, Cheryl (Jeff) White, Larry (Sue) Portolese, Greg (Kathy) Portolese, Brenda (Bob) Olive, Ann (Mark) Schultheis, Kim (Bob) Weber and Ken Portolese; 20 great nieces and nephews and 5 great great-nieces and nephews.

Mickie was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka. She was a golfer and a bowler. Mickie enjoyed traveling to Italy, Germany, France, Sweden and Norway with her family.

Friends called from 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka where wake prayers was said at 5 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., today, Dec. 19 in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Barry England officiating.

Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.
