Cynthia J. (Wurtsbaugh) Perkins, 50,
residing at 1121 East Lasalle, South Bend, Ind., passed away
after an extended illness at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, March 30, in
Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She last
worked as a coordinator for American Freight Ways in South Bend.
Cynthia was born on March 5, 1953, in South Bend, to the late
Wilbur and Ida (Kimmel) Wurtsbaugh, and had lived
in the area all of her life. Cynthia attended Apostolic Temple
Church. Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Tracy Perkins of
South Bend; her son, Shaun Perkins of Goshen, Ind.; two sisters,
Cheryll (Gordon) Smith of Osceola, Ind., Karen (Nathan) Lower
of Mishawaka, Ind.; and by two brothers, Wilbur (Shirley)
Wurtsbaugh of South Bend and Kenny (Charlene) Wurtsbaugh of
Mishawaka.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615. Rev. Peter Rowe will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
