William G. Penrod

William G. Penrod, 74, of North Wenger Street, Mishawaka, passed away at 11:45 p.m. July 5, 2006, in St Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka after an illness. He was born February 26, 1932, in South Bend, Indiana, to Myron and Bernice (Knoblock) Penrod. They both preceded him in death.

On December 1, 1968, in Mishawaka, he married the former Ellen F. King. She survives with four sons, William P. (Billy) Penrod of Mishawaka, Michael Penrod of Plymouth and Rick Penrod and William A. Penrod of Indiana. Two daughters, Susan Rodts and Lori Skora, also survive. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorla Dean "DeDe" Grossnickle.

Mr. Penrod was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie # 2053 and the Mishawaka Fraternal Order of Police. He was a retired Mishawaka policeman, serving from 1959 until 1991.

Friends will be received from 5 until 8pm Sunday in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka. Entombment will follow the funeral services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
