William R. Peltz Sr., 59, of Lincoln
Park, Mich., died at 5 a.m. Tuesday at Outer Drive hospital, Lincoln
Park, after a brief illness. He was employed at the Dakhaus
Florist and Nursery Landscape Contractors. Born April 25,
1921, in South Bend, he had lived here most of his life, having
moved to Michigan in 1956. In 1942 he married Doris Abraham,
who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Pamela
Herbert of San Diego and Mrs. Cynthia Berkaw of Troy,
Mich.; a son William R. Jr. of Bellaire, Tex.; five
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Florence LeJeune of Bloomington,
Ind., and Mrs. Helen Steele of South Bend, and a brother,
A. Tyndall Peltz of South Bend.
Memorial services were in Lincoln Park.
Cremation followed. Memorial contributions may be made to
the Salvation Army. He was a World War II veteran of the
Marines. He was a graduate of the former Central high
School.
