SOUTH BEND - Norma Maxine Peffley, 69, of Michigan 62, Edwardsburg, formerly of South Bend, died at 6:10 a.m. Monday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Peffley retired in 1980 from Winlite Corp. She was born April 10, 1926, in Dark County, Ohio, and lived in South Bend most of her life.

On Oct. 31, 1947, in Mishawaka, as Norma M. Nill, she married Myron Peffley. He survives with a daughter, Norma Jean Martin of Bristol; four sons, Michael of Elkhart, Myron ''Skip'' of Edwardsburg, Gary L. of Pokagon and David A. of South Bend; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cass County Hospice or Alzheimer's Assocation.
