William A. Pearson

October 30, 1873 - December 24, 1961

William Arthur Pearson, 88, of 116 E. Ewing Ave., died at 7:30pm in the River Park Nursing Home after a several months illness.

He was born in Nebraska October 30, 1873, and came here in 1877 with his parents, Mahlon & Betsy Pearson, who were pioneer settlers in St Joseph County.

Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Bernice Swen, with whom he resided and Mrs. Gladys Nimmer of South Bend, and a nephew, Raymond Houser of De Witt MI.

Friends may call in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home after 4pm Monday and until services there at 11am Tuesday.  Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery.  He was a member of the Calvary Temple.
