Joseph T. Paszli

October 7, 1918 – August 26, 1995

SOUTH BEND - Joseph T. Paszli, 76, of Powderhorn Court, died at 6pm Saturday in this home of natural causes.  He retired from Bendix Corp.  He was born October 7, 1918, and was a lifelong area resident.  On August 24, 1940, in South Bend, he married Evelyn B. Reyniers.  She survives with a daughter, Sharon Nowicki of South Bend; a son, Larry of South Bend; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene Wolfe of Hudson Lake and Margaret Homco of Peoria AZ.  He was preceded in death by a great grandchild.  He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the South Bend Civic & Democratic Club, St Stephen’s Usher’s Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9820 and American Legion Post 50, a retired usher from the University of Notre Dame and a volunteer for the College Football Hall of Fame.

Services will be at 10am Wednesday in St Stephen’s Catholic Church.  Cremation will follow, with burial in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9pm today in Zahoran Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 7pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
