NEW CARLISLE - Edwin L. Paschen, 84, of Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, formerly of New Carlisle, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday in the nursing manor. Mr. Paschen retired in 1974 from Howmet Manufacturing, LaPorte. He was born Nov. 14, 1910, in Chicago, and moved to New Carlisle in 1951. On June 4, 1948, in Chicago, he married Ella Temmel. She died Nov. 11, 1961. Surviving are two daughters, Geraldine Versaw of Three Oaks and Beverly Szczypiorski of New Carlisle; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Holmes of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and a brother, Henry of Walkerton.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlisle. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until services Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity
