MISHAWAKA - Valerie Kamm Parshall, 65, of Lincoln Way East, died at 6:15 a.m. today in her home after an illness. Mrs. Parshall was employed by the South Bend Community School Corp. as a Spanish teacher at South Bend Central High School, by School City of Mishawaka as a teacher at Battell School and as an American teacher in Mexico City. She was born March 3, 1930, in Mishawaka. On Aug. 30, 1962, in Elkhart, as Valerie A. Kamm, she married Byron V. Parshall. He survives with three sisters, Harriet K. Nye, Lois K. Kamm and Natalie J. Danielsson, all of Mishawaka; and a brother, William M. Kamm of South Bend. She was a graduate of Indiana University and a member of Delta Delta sorority.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of St. Joseph County or American Cancer Society.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today in McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road, South Bend.
