SOUTH BEND - William J. Parrish Jr., 48, of 2311 Midway St., Niles, formerly of South Bend, died at 3:09 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Parrish was employed as a sporting goods manager at Kmart for 22 years. He was born Oct. 5, 1946, in South Bend and lived in South Bend most of his life. On Feb. 10, 1990, in Buchanan, he married Jean E. Marsh. She survives with a daughter, Stacy Parrish of Indianapolis; two stepsons, Trent Babcock and Kirk Babcock, both at home; and four sisters, Barbara Niezgodski of South Bend, Mary Callender of Bedford, Mass., Donna Stines of Elkhart and Jean Tramutt of Arvada, Colo.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
