MISHAWAKA - Raymond Logan Parker, 71, of Mishawaka, passed
away at 6:49 p.m. Thursday, February 28, in Saint Joseph Regional
Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born October 9, 1936, in
Slaughters, Kentucky, to Charlie and Bonnie (Oakley)
Parker, who preceded him in death.
On August 4th, 1956, in Osceola, he married
the former Phyllis Holmes. She survives with two daughters, Lynn
Marie Parker of Brooksville, Florida, and Michele Ray Graddy
of Osceola; and three grandchildren, Stephanie Arrowsmith,
Caitlin Graddy and Darrin Parker-Labadie. Also surviving
him are two brothers and a sister, Charles J. (Mickey) Parker Jr.
of Madisonville, Kentucky, Archie E. Parker of Tennessee and
Charlotte A. Parker of Kentucky. He is also survived by his
sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruthie and Hall Easterling of
Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Pierce,
and a brother, Wyman L. Parker. Mr. Parker was employed at
Uniroyal for 38 years as a laborer and electrician until his
retirement in 1991. He was a member of Faith United Methodist
Church, South Bend.
Funeral services for Mr. Parker will be held
at 11:00 am Tuesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main
Street, Mishawaka. Friends will be received one hour prior to the
services on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested
that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart
Association.
