Mary M. Paris, 71, residing on South
29th Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 11:55 a.m. Friday,
Sept. 21, in Hospice House of St. Joseph County, South Bend. Mary
was born Aug. 31, 1930, in South Bend, as the daughter of Frank
and Ethel (Horvath) Takacs, and had been a longtime
resident of River Park. She was preceded in death by her parents;
and by a brother, Frank Takacs, who died during World War II.
She retired from the Uniroyal Corporation,
Mishawaka, Ind., following more than 30 years of service.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Linda Lovitt
of Osceola, Ind.; and Sharon Enders of Loxahatchee, Fla.;
two sons, Richard Paris of Bruchkobel, Germany, and William Paris
of South Bend; five grandchildren, Erick Paris, Jason Enders,
Shauna Enders, Trina Paris and Nick Paris; one great-grandson,
Jacob Enders; and two sisters, Ethel Hastings of
Indianapolis, Ind., and Joan Palfi of South Bend.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.
25, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South
Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin, pastor of Northway Church of Christ, will
officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Sacred
Heart Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, in the Palmer Funeral Home. Memorial
contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111
Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
