Cecelia C. Parisi of East Monroe Street, South Bend, died peacefully in the early morning of Oct. 12, in Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, after a tough struggle with dementia.
She was a registered X-ray technician in her working years, and recently came to South Bend to be close to family. She was born in New York City and lived there for most of her life, spending many of her summers on Cape Cod. She retired to Ft. Lauderdale about six years ago.
She was preceded in death by her companion, Fran Branz, by her brother, Anthony, and her sister, Madeleine. Her sister Jenny survives.
She leaves behind her son, Tom, daughter-in-law, Marianne; her two beloved grandchildren, Claire and Ben and many relatives and friends.
Her family wishes to thank all of the wonderful people involved in her care during the time of her illness. A memorial mass will take place in Brooklyn, New York.
