Ann C. Papp, 86, residing on South
31st Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away after a short illness
at 11:05 a.m. on Friday, July 11, in Countryside Place,
Mishawaka, Ind. She owned and operated Diamond Dry Cleaning on
the West Side for many years, and retired from Crystal Dry
Cleaners in River Park. Mrs. Papp was born on July 14, 1916, in
South Bend, to Henry and Leona (Von Bellaham) Reyniers,
and had lived here all of her life. On Feb. 4, 1937, in South
Bend, she married James D. Papp, who died on June 25, 1996. Mrs.
Papp is survived by her daughter, Joyce (George) Papp- Clements
of Roswell, Ga.; two sons, Kenneth J. (Sheri) Papp of Louisville,
Ky., and James R. (Kathy Holden) Papp of Buchanan, Mich.;
10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters,
Jeanette Rhodes of Osceola, Ind., and Alice Mann of
Sparks, Nev.; and by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Papp was a
member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles,
Aerie 2083, Mishawaka, where she served three times as Madam
President, was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary of Moose Lodge
#58, Senior Regent, and American Legion Post 161, Mishawaka. She
graduated from South Bend Riley High School.
Funeral services for Mrs. Papp will be held
at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River
Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Terry Fisher will
officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. A
buffet luncheon will be hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary of the
Eagles from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Eagles Lodge of Mishawaka
following the graveside services. The family will receive friends
from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, with a Moose Ritual
at 7:15 p.m. Friends may also call two hours prior to services on
